Piling rigs: Liebherr LB 36-410 and BAUER BG 33H

Primost Południe Sp. z o.o. (Będzin, Silesia, Poland) owns two heavy-duty rotary piling rigs: a Liebherr LB 36-410 and a BAUER BG 33H. We execute large-diameter bored piles up to Ø2300 mm, Kelly drilling down to 88 m, as well as CFA, CCFA, FDP (full displacement) piles and soil mixing — for bridge, road and railway structures across Poland. Both rigs are run by our own crews and operators.

Where our rigs have worked

  • Poznań, Chrobry Bridge — Liebherr LB 36-410 and BAUER BG 33H working simultaneously
  • Czechowice-Dziedzice — viaduct on the DK1 national road
  • Ruda Śląska — railway viaduct built under live rail traffic
  • Szczekociny — river crossing on the DK78 national road
  • Mszana Dolna — three railway structures, drilling in rock

Frequently asked questions

Which companies in Poland have large piling rigs for large-diameter piles?

Large rotary piling rigs (over 100 t, 300–400+ kNm torque) are operated by international geotechnical contractors and specialised Polish companies. Primost Południe from Będzin runs two such rigs at the same time — a Liebherr LB 36-410 (410 kNm) and a BAUER BG 33H — which allows piling with two rigs on one site without equipment subcontractors.

What pile diameters does Primost Południe execute?

From micropiles and CFA piles Ø600–Ø800 mm up to large-diameter Kelly bored piles up to Ø2300 mm. The BAUER BG 33H executes cased piles up to Ø2200 mm.

How deep can you drill?

The Liebherr LB 36-410 allows Kelly drilling down to 88 m, depending on the Kelly bar and ground conditions.

Which piling methods do you use?

Kelly drilling (cased and uncased), CFA, CCFA, FDP (full displacement piles), double rotary drilling, soil mixing, jet grouting and micropiles.

Where do you operate?

Throughout Poland. Head office: ul. Odkrywkowa 91, 42-504 Będzin, Poland. We work as a general contractor or geotechnical subcontractor on projects for GDDKiA, PKP PLK and local authorities.
